Bullying where does it end?

Woman Shamed & Bullied for her Stretchmarks writes Amazing Facebook Response to her Attackers

Unfortunately we live in a Society where people can be very cruel and mean to each other. I don’t understand it and I don’t think I ever will. Who is perfect? Is there such a thing as being perfect? And who wants to be perfect?

Why is vanity such a big deal and what is the perfect body?

Mother of Five Tanis Jex-Blak 33 from Canada, received horrible insults from nothing more than strangers as she just tried to sun bath at a beach in her bikini for the first time since she had given birth to her first child 13 years ago.

She had to leave the beach in tears after the way those horrible disgusting people made the woman feel. Personally I have nothing but admiration for her and fair play to her. She made a very brave move and decided to post a photo of her body on facebook to her attackers. She replied to the bullies as follows:-

Tanis said she looked up and is all she could here people saying was , ‘oh my god, look at that, that’s f***ing nasty, that’s disgusting, look how gross that is.’
“So I peeked my eyes open and [two men and a woman] were standing above me, looking down, pointing at me and pretending to kick me as I lay there.”

The letter Tanis posted online reads: “I’m sorry if my first attempt at sun tanning in a bikini in public in 13 years “grossed you out”. I’m sorry that my stomach isn’t flat and tight. I’m sorry that my belly is covered in stretch marks.

“I’m NOT sorry that my body has housed, grown, protected, birthed and nurtured FIVE fabulous, healthy, intelligent and wonderful human beings. I’m sorry if my 33 year old, 125 lb body offended you so much that you felt that pointing, laughing, and pretending to kick me. But I’ll have you know that as I looked at your ‘perfect’ young bodies, I could only think to myself ‘what great and amazing feat has YOUR body done?’.
“I’ll also have you know that I held my head high, unflinching as you mocked me, pretending that what you said and did had no effect on me; but I cried in the car on the drive home. Thanks for ruining my day. It’s people like you who make this world an ugly hateful place.

“I can’t help but feel sorry for the women who will one day bear your children and become “gross” in your eyes as their bodies change during the miraculous process of pregnancy. I can only hope that one day you’ll realize that my battle scars are something to be proud of, not ashamed of.”
So far been shared over 6,000 times and liked over 8,000 times on Facebook. – so why has it proven to be so popular?

It has struck a cord with thousands of women worldwide and rightly so. Nobody is perfect and no one should be embarrassed about their bodies because you do not have to look like a Supermodel. Scars are badges of honor and you should wear them with pride. Don’t hide your body for anyone. Your the wearer they are the starer!
Bullying is absolutely horrendous; it is not a nice feeling to be at the receiving end of it I can tell you that from experience. I wouldn’t dare stand quiet in a room if I saw anybody being bullied. You have to do your bit to Stop it so next time you see it and act on it. It is NOT acceptable. I don’t care what the circumstances are Do what you need to do and anyone that has bullied in the past you should hold your heads in shame because you deserve what you get.

I am very Entrepreneurial by nature and I am trying my hardiest to be successful in my business. I could not believe what I read on facebook the other day when my good friend pointed it out. A local Waterford man who has a very successful Blog felt the need to put a photograph of me on his own personal page slagging me for what I am doing.

I read his blog myself from time to time and find it absolutely hilarious and very entertaining but why he felt the need to pick on me and bully me on his personal page I’ll never know. I have seen him in a different light and yes it did hurt me. I’m human but you know what they say little apples and all that.
I don’t understand how a fellow Waterford man could try and bring down someone trying to start a new business especially in their own home town. Personally, if it were me and I could carry anybody from Waterford or Kilkenny or indeed Ireland I would do it in a heartbeat. Not that I was asking to be carried….. I’m baffled and I truly feel sorry for him. I guess that’s what separates the good people from the bad people. Thank God that I was not reared in that manner and I haven’t got a bad bone in my body. Guess what sets apart the good the bad and the ugly!
