If you are like me at this stage you are counting the days to Electric Picnic and for those of you around the World who don’t know what it is Electric Picnic is I am about to tell you.
It is one of the best and largest festivals music festivals in Ireland. This year Electric Picnic celebrate their 12th year with a line-up that will be quiet diverse with centre stage acts such as Blur, Sam Smith, Florence & the Machine, Underworld, Manic Street Preachers, Grace Jones to only name but a few.
So Ladies besides the obvious of packing your ticket. The second most important thing to pack for Lolly and the majority of you Ladies reading this is of course your Toiletry bag.
Let’s face it we don’t leave home without it or the majority of us will be in bits and pieces going around!
So here are my top tips and tricks for surviving a music festival and looking your best for the 3 days of mayhem!
Keep your make-up VERY BASIC and natural looking to avoid it melting. Leave the fake lashes AT HOME and get yourself a good Mascara it does the same thing anyway and looks better in my opinion. I am not a fan of fake lashes!
Bring a good lippy or lipgloss with you and a hand santizer – trust me you will thank me for this.
Pack some High SPF – I know the weather is totally unpredictable in Ireland but bring it anyway nothing as bad as watching people walking around and they getting burnt to a cinder (very careless) and not a bit attractive looking! Think of the damage and the pain!
Pack exfoliator for your face. Most likely you are going to be rat assed for the entire three days and your make-up won’t be taken off. Don’t Cod yourself! Exfoliate your skin once every morning when you wake and your skin will thank you for it. You will look really fresh. Then you can re-apply another face and off you go again!
Don’t forget to pack a Dry Shampoo as you most likely won’t shower for the three days. I don’t! I just have body washes with babywipes as I couldn’t be bothered with the queues for the Shower with the head hanging off me with a hangover. Besides I don’t like showering where there are big crowds it’s not my thing. Ok I’m a scruff ball at festivals but who cares. It’s that one time you can leave your hair down and not care. To be quiet honest the Molly Dollies who go over OTT look silly and out of place at festivals.
I don’t like anything heavy on my skin at festivals. I bring a good facial moisturizer, a BB Cream with SPF which is a total lifesaver. I also pack a Bronzer, Eyeliner and mascara.
During the day I pin my hair up or put it in a plat.
I pack a nice parfum and deodorant and that’s Lollys Festival essentials. You can see it’s not over the top. It’s plain and simple and that’s all you need Ladies.
Pack a good mouth wash and toothpaste in your toiletry bag with two toothbrushes. In case one falls in the mud.
Now get ready to party your socks off if you see me come and say Hi and we will take a quick selfie 😉
